4×2D TO AUTO STEREOSCOPIC 3D CINEMA
I have discovered a technology that brings the autostereoscopic 3D effect to a very large cinema screen size. I would like to share some details related to this with you.
So far, the introduction of lenticular and parallax barrier-based autostereoscopic 3D displays has been limited to mobile, laptop, and TV sizes only. And glassfree 3d cannot be created directly using multi-angle images for the same display on these types of displays. However, by performing reconstruct to all images, it is possible to incorporate glass-free 3D effects on a small-scale display. Efforts are also underway to bring glass-free 3D to cinema screen sizes.
When attempting to bring autostereoscopic 3D to a much larger cinema screen size, researchers face five main challenges:
1. Audience sitting to the left and
right of the screen
2. Maintaining visibility at various
heights.
3. Maintaining visibility at different
distances.
4. Dim light
5. Lack of high resolution
5 challenges and discovered three new techniques to bring autostereoscopic 3d to the big cinema screen.
1. 4×2D to AS3D cinema
2. MULTI 2D to AS3D cinema
3. Multi angle video capture with one high speed camera for auto stereoscopic cinema .
1. 4×2D to AS3D cinema
According to my new technique that
I will introduce to you
1.. mechanical based Reflective type Active Screen .
2.Four projectors mounted in a specific manner are included.
A reflective screen reflects the four angle views coming from four projectors onto the screen at more than forty different horizontal angles. At the same time it reflects at different vertical angles of more than 80 degrees.
2. MULTI 2D to AS3D cinema
Polygonal views of a scene are displayed on screen. Thus each viewer sitting in front of the screen will see a different angle of view. This screen requires more than four projectors to project the film.
3. Multi angle video capture with one high speed camera for auto stereoscopic cinema
A simple method of recording multi-angle videos of the same scene within a limited angle interval. Only one high speed camera is enough for this. This is an alternative to using more than one camera.
I was only able to create a non-working prototype to illustrate my simple technique. I don't have the financial means to make a working prototype.
I believe that all 2d cinemas worldwide will become AS3d cinemas with the essence of my invention.
So I welcome AS3d industry researchers who are interested in implementing my technology. And give your best opinion about it.
Thankyou
